About SiteGPT

Founded by Bhanu Teja and Dheeraj in March 2023, SiteGPT has quickly attracted a significant customer base and interest. Operated by a lean team and built in public, SiteGPT serves as an inspiration to many founding teams, including ours at Truto.

The Problem

SiteGPT is developed by a lean team that had to prioritize effectively between improving highly-used features and launching new chat integrations requested by their customers. They were looking for a partner to help them build integrations.

The team aimed to launch integrations for Google Chat, Messenger, HubSpot Chat, Zendesk Chat, Slack, Freshchat, Intercom, and Crisp. These integrations would enable SiteGPT customers to enhance their current chat platforms with SiteGPT's capabilities without needing to switch platforms, ensuring a seamless adoption process.

The Solution

Truto offers two solutions: unified APIs and Cavalry. With Cavalry, teams can have integrations built directly in their codebase and further develop on top of them.

Each integration requires API research, testing, documentation, and implementation. The Truto team discussed the requirements and identified eight essential features that needed to be supported on each platform, such as collecting a visitor's email and phone number and enabling native escalation of chats to a human agent.

To accommodate these features, the team thoroughly researched the documentation of various platforms and wrote code directly within SiteGPT's codebase, ensuring a smooth implementation process.

The Partnership

The SiteGPT team has begun seeing usage for their chat integrations, with ongoing support provided by Truto.

Next, they are considering implementing Truto's Unified APIs to launch more integrations faster.
